On the Threshold of War
Master Thief and Pirate King
Captain of the Leviathan, a massive hulk of a ship rumored to be crewed by the damned, and Admiral of a tightly knitted like minded band of pirates with a singular hatred for the pushy Thyatin Navy. He and his ships operate by a strict code of pirate rules. Only those that deserve to be robbed will be, and there are so many deserved people. The ends always justify the means, and it’s better to kill a hundred innocent than let one Thyatin go. Charismatic beyond sheer physical appearance, he has a way of getting what information he needs. He understands the bonds of friendship, and has made many mutually beneficial connections within the underworld. He has a strict personal code of conduct, an honor among thieves if you will, and will honor almost any truthful agreement. With the underworld connections Captain O’Conna has a convenient finger on the pulse of the happenings within the world, all of which usually comes at a price unless it affects his beloved homeland of Traldara (which he refuses to call Karamiekos). Captain O’Conna has boundless ambitions. He’s often been rumored to be heard saying; “Why rule a country and place borders on your wealth? You can only usually have one country. To own the commerce lanes is to own all countries”. He has a very polarized black and white belief system; us/them, with/against, kill/be killed, friend/enemy and so on. As loyal as Dublin is to his allies, he is equally as loyal to his blood feuds. Foregoing logical courses of actions and sometimes spending ridiculous amounts of revenue, Dublin will rarely rest until his enemies have died (a usually slow painful, horrific death). Dublin has an uncanny ability to see the “bigger” picture and put things together that often escape others. He is a valuable ally if you can stomach his “a good defense is to attack first and kill everything” mentality. He is definitely an enemy one would never every want to have with his reach of favors owed and loyal informants reaching from the Heldann Freeholds to the Five Shires, the only escape one might have is within the borders of the Black Eagle Barony. If you cross Dublin, you can choose the evil.
